Ashburn House
Ashburn House is a five-storey Victorian townhouse in London, fully redesigned by Banda as a quietly powerful expression of refined family life. Stripped back to its architectural bones, the house underwent a three-year transformation, its proportions reinstated, its flow reimagined, and its interiors entirely rebuilt with craftsmanship and intent. Designed for returning clients, the project builds on the quiet elegance of their Paris pied-à-terre, this time introducing softness, intimacy, and a sense of permanence.
At the heart of the home is a new lower-ground extension, centred around a sculptural marble island designed by Banda Design Studio. This expansive kitchen and informal living space opens directly onto the garden, creating a modern sanctuary within a period shell. Across all five floors, antique sculptures sit comfortably alongside bespoke furniture, museum-grade materials meet family warmth. Ashburn House is a study in contrasts, light and depth, history and clarity, woven into a home of lasting relevance.
